International Show
International Show Bio: SHOW is more than a name. It is a motif of the music that this emerging artist brings to pass. Music that keeps an audience at the edge of their seats. Music that enlightens minds. Music that touches all souls – no matter race, gender, or background. Inspired to create music that brings out emotions not many are capable of – from the first chord played in each self-produced song to the last word in each verse – Show (neé Roy Studmire) lives by the motto: Music is the key to your soul. From an early age, Show had his eyes cast on victory. As the youngest of four children raised by a single mother, Show refused to become a statistic. Growing up fatherless fueled his ambitions and inner drive to be a winner – and music was his outlet. It was in the house of God that Show fell in love with music. Church was the shelter provided by his mother from the violent streets of Boston, MA, one where she could preserve his morals and values. Hearing the soulful music of the organ and the beat of the drum week after week encouraged him to learn to play the drums and piano, and soon began playing at worship. Show was introduced to the lyrical form by his older brother, an aspiring rapper at the time. Show often studied his brother battling with friends, and sought out to dominate the skill himself – and he didn’t stop there. Show matured into an accomplished producer, working with various artists in the Boston Area, although his talents have taken him all over the globe, most recently to Russia. Show has lived and pursued his work in Los Angeles, Atlanta and Moscow and has produced records for Ty Nitty (of Mobb Deep), Lou Armstrong, Makio (of Making the Band), Superstar LT, and Dre Robinson to name a few. In early 2009, Show established a production company with various business partners by the name of Standing Ovation Entertainment, or S.O.E. A name representative of the impact he desires his music to make. A name he hopes will leave a lasting impression on audiences worldwide. A name he strives to personify with each performance. Show has set the pace for an auspicious future. Of a logical nature, he believes the amount of effort and dedication applied correlates with abundant rewards. He intends to travel the world with his music in one hand and his mic in the other until the name "Show" is global. Currently, Show is producing his first album along with a series of mix tapes, the first of which entitled "Now That's What I Call A Remix" which hit clubs and radio stations in early August 2009. His witty and fun loving personality enhance his potent delivery and lyrical mastery, and all the while he uses not one curse word. The newly proclaimed "Hip-Hop Savior" refuses to be boxed in one genre as his music has a crossover appeal anyone will love. Through his music, International Show is out to conquer the world, one eardrum at a time.
