Lee Vasi is a three-time Billboard-charting artist and NAACP Image Award “Outstanding New Artist” nominee based in Atlanta, known for blending soul, culture, and authenticity into a fresh, heartfelt R&B sound. Born in Fayetteville, NC, and raised in a Puerto Rican-Dominican and African American family, she wrote her first song at age 10 while performing as Young Nala in The Lion King on Broadway. After appearing on American Idol in 2018 and reaching the Top 50, Lee stepped away to deepen her artistry before returning in 2023 with “My Bad,” followed by her breakout single “Teach Me,” which went viral and earned her her first Billboard chart entries. Her debut EP, From Me, To God, drew industry attention and led to performances with Genius: Open Mic, the GMA Dove Awards Future Sounds Showcase, and official Stellar Awards programming.
